We have now held our weekend clinics. If you haven't yet had your flu vaccination, please contact the practice and we shall arrange an appointment. You can also email us at Flu.Roseneath@wales.nhs.uk with your name, date of birth and availability and we shall email you back with an appointment.
We have contacted parents of patients aged 2-3 that qualify for the Child flu vaccination but if you your child hasn't yet had one, you can also email Flu.Roseneath@wales.nhs.uk for an appointment, including child name, date of birth and your availability.
The groups eligible for a flu vaccine in Wales as part of the routine national flu programme in 2025 to 2026 will be as follows:
We shall be holding some weekend clinics in October and we are working with the Health Board for letters to be sent to patients who qualify for this vaccination. These patients will also be able to have their flu vaccination at the same time (as in previous years).
● adults aged 75 years and over
● residents in a care home for older adults
● individuals aged 6 months and over who are immunosuppressed (as defined in the "immunosuppression" row of table 3 and table 4)
We are excited to announce that we are now sending out invitations for the RSV vaccine via text message, phone, and letter. The RSV vaccine helps protect against respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), a common virus that can cause serious respiratory illnesses such as pneumonia and bronchiolitis, especially in babies and older adults.
Who should get the RSV vaccine?
Why is the RSV vaccine important? RSV can lead to severe breathing problems and may require hospital treatment. The vaccine helps reduce the risk of serious complications, ensuring better health and safety for you and your loved ones.
How to get the vaccine:
Please note: To manage our RSV stock effectively, we will be sending out invitations. We kindly ask that you do not call us to book your vaccination unless you have received an invitation from us.
Stay protected and keep your loved ones safe. Look out for your invitation and book your RSV vaccine appointment as soon you receive it!
