Flu & COVID Vaccinations

Flu vaccinations 2025 - 2026

We have now held our weekend clinics.  If you haven't yet had your flu vaccination, please contact the practice and we shall arrange an appointment.  You can also email us at Flu.Roseneath@wales.nhs.uk with your name, date of birth and availability and we shall email you back with an appointment.   

We have contacted parents of patients aged 2-3 that qualify for the Child flu vaccination but if you your child hasn't yet had one, you can also email Flu.Roseneath@wales.nhs.uk for an appointment, including child name, date of birth and your availability.   

 

Eligible cohorts for the influenza (flu) season in 2025 to 2026

 The groups eligible for a flu vaccine in Wales as part of the routine national flu programme in 2025 to 2026 will be as follows:

  • children aged two and three years on 31 August 2025
  • school aged children from reception to year 11 (inclusive) - in school
  • people aged 6 months to 64 years in a clinical risk group 
  • people aged 65 years and older (age on 31 March 2026)
  • pregnant women
  • carers of a person whose health or welfare may be at risk if the carer falls ill
  • frontline health and care workers
  • people experiencing homelessness
  • household contacts of the immunocompromised 

 

COVID-19 vaccinations Autumn 2025

We shall be holding some weekend clinics in October and we are working with the Health Board for letters to be sent to patients who qualify for this vaccination.  These patients will also be able to have their flu vaccination at the same time (as in previous years).  

 

Groups eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine in Autumn 2025

● adults aged 75 years and over

● residents in a care home for older adults

● individuals aged 6 months and over who are immunosuppressed (as defined in the "immunosuppression" row of table 3 and table 4)
