Repeat Prescription Ordering

Prescription requests take 72 hours (three working days) to process. Please ensure that you order your medication in time to avoid running out. Once the practice has processed your request, you will be able to collect your prescription from either the practice or the pharmacy depending on if you have registered a preferred pharmacy with us.

The Pharmacy may also take approximately 48 - 72 hours (2 - 3 working days) to dispense your medication, please ask at the Pharmacy for their turnaround time.

Some local pharmacies offer a service where, with your consent, they will collect your prescriptions from the practice. Please ask your local pharmacy if this is a service that they offer. Please then inform our Reception Team of which pharmacy you would like your prescriptions to go to in future.

Please do not order your repeat prescription more than 10 days in advance. If you do need your medication earlier than normal due to a holiday, please make a note of this on your repeat prescription request or advise the pharmacy. Without this, your request may be declined due to being ordered too soon.

Please use one of the following methods to order your medication:

In Person

Tick the items that you require on your repeat prescription slip. You will usually get a new copy of your repeat prescription slip when you collect your medication.

If you do not have your repeat prescription slip, please ask our reception team to print a new one for you or write your request on a piece of paper which includes the following details:

  • The name of your GP surgery
  • First name
  • Surname
  • Date of birth
  • Address
  • List of all medications that you would like to request, the dosage of the medications and quantities.

There are post boxes at each patient entrance to Buckley Medical Centre which can be used to drop off your prescription request.

Alternatively, you can pass your prescription request to our Reception Team.

By Post

You can post your prescription request to the practice, please click HERE for our full address.

We will then process your prescription request within 72 hours (three working days) of receiving it.

Online

We are pleased to announce that you can now access health services from Roseneath Medical Practice on the new NHS Wales App. The App is a simple and secure way to order repeat medication. To access the App, you must have a fully verified NHS Login, or a valid photo ID to prove who you are and be aged 16 or over. Download the App today or use the desktop web version available. Find out more at NHS Wales App sign up

Additional support can be found at NHS Wales login help

For those who are already signed up to My Health Online (MHOL), you can continue to use this for now but it will be phased out eventually (we will update our website and MHOL when we know more. Whilst you still have access to MHOL, we would suggest setting up the NHS Wales App as soon as possible so that any issues can be resolved before you have to move from MHOL to the NHS Wales App.

Via your local Pharmacy

If you have signed up to a preferred pharmacy, contact your pharmacy to order your medication on your behalf.

Please note, different pharmacies may have different methods for requesting medication, please discuss your options with the pharmacy.

We do not accept prescription requests over the phone.

If you require an item that you have not had prescribed for you before, you will need to submit a request via eConsult which will be triaged by a GP.
