Home Visit Requests

If you require a home visit, please contact the practice as early as possible before 9:30 am. Our Reception Team will ask for a description of your symptoms. 

Your request for a visit will be passed to one of the doctors who will assess the need for a visit. The doctor will determine if there is a clinical need for a home visit and may call you to discuss your symptoms in more detail before attending. 

You may require a home visit if you are:

• Housebound
• Terminally ill
• Elderly/Frail

Lack of transportation is not a reasonable indication for a home visit. One of our clinicians may be able to manage your symptoms over the telephone or by arranging an appointment for a later date (providing you are not experiencing a medical emergency). 

Life threatening emergencies are best treated by the hospital and you may be advised to call 999.
